Directory of HK Law Firms app for iPhone and iPad

The Directory of Hong Kong Law Firms ("the Directory") is produced by the Law Society of Hong Kong ("the Law Society") with the intention of making the task of finding the right solicitor easier for you.

Each entry provides details of the firm’s name, address, telephone number, fax number, website, e-mail address and the name of contact person to whom you should direct your inquiry.

The Directory also displays a list of law firms which have volunteered to provide to the public an initial legal consultation not exceeding 45 minutes free-of-charge at www.choosehklawyer.org. There are 24 areas of law which include Administrative Law, Arbitration/Mediation, Bankruptcy, Banking and Finance, Building Management, China Appointed Attesting Officer, Civil Celebrants of Marriage, Civil Claims, Committeeship/Guardianship, Company/Commercial Law, Consumer Protection, Conveyancing, Criminal Law, Employment Law, Family Law, Foreign related legal services, Immigration, Intellectual Property, Landlord and Tenant, Mainland related legal services, Notary Public, Personal Injuries, Shipping and Maritime, and Wills and Probate.

If you have a legal problem related to any of these areas and wish to seek free consultation, you must call the selected law firm indicating that you wish to obtain free legal consultation service. At the initial consultation, the solicitor will discuss your legal problem with you and advise you the appropriate steps to take.

If you wish to engage the law firm after the free initial legal consultation, you should ask the firm to give you an estimate of the costs, charging scale, other disbursements which may be incurred and all other details about the legal service they will provide.

The list of firms which volunteered information to this Directory does not represent the full list of registered law firms in Hong Kong. Particulars of the categories of work undertaken by the firms are as notified by them to the Law Society and shall not be regarded as representations or endorsements by the Law Society.

Whilst the Law Society has taken all reasonable steps to ensure the accuracy of the information set out in the Directory, it accepts no responsibility for any errors or omissions from the Directory.
